1.Collabora Online Office 3.1 is now available
Collabora Online is a powerful LibreOffice-based online office suite that lets you edit documents from your web browser. It is compatible with all major document, spreadsheet and presentation file formats and can be easily integrated into your infrastructure.
The integration of Collabora has made working with EGroupware much easier for many applications. We will be happy to advise you on the further possibilities of the use of collabora online office on our next Webinar. The new Version 3.1 includes many bug fixes and improved chart editing.
2. Collabora trial phase is completed
The free trial phase ended on February 28th with a lot of positive feedback.
For all users of the EGrouware cloud in the EGroupware datacenter, the same number of “Collabora Named User” licenses that our customers purchased as “EGroupware EPL Concurrent User” is included. This means that not all users need an additional license. This is a big advantage for many customers. Just contact us if you have any further questions about the licenses or visit the new Collabora page.
The price for a Collabora user license is 4.25 Euro plus VAT per year for schools and non-profit organizations. A commercial license for companies costs 17 Euro per user/year plus VAT and is therefore much lower than a Microsoft Office license, which costs about 200 Euro. Users of the EGroupware Community Version can also use Collabora Online 3.1. Just contact us for more information.
3. Collabora Webinar with Quick Start Information
What is the easiest way to start Collabora Online and what are the options for EGroupware users?
We are pleased to invite you to a webinar on this subject. In this webinar we will discuss the first steps from commissioning to saving documents. We will also discuss how you can create a PDF form from your document. Birgit Becker will answer the most frequently asked questions from the support area and give many useful tips. Look forward to an exciting webinar.
Very soon we will send an intivation for the online training. In order to better plan the webinar, we would like to know what time (morning or afternoon referring to the german timezome) would be most convienent for you.
4. Early booking discount for user days extended until 31 March
We have extended the early booking discount for the EGroupware User Days in Berlin until March 31st.
On June 7 and 8,2018 the EGroupware User Days will take place in Berlin. Find out how you can best use EGroupware for your organization, directly from the EGroupware experts. We have also invited some external experts to present an exciting programm.
The program is already almost complete. For technically interested administrators, the topic Univention and the integration of EGroupware into a domain controller or Active Directory will be interesting.
Furthermore, we are looking forward to a presentation by ProfitBricks on the topic of data protection and data hosting in the ProfitBricks data centers, where the EGroupware cloud is hosted.
We were also able to win Mr. Krumbein as a speaker for the User Day 2018 in Berlin. In particular, the practical use of Collabora Online in EGroupware in combination with merge print documents and serial letters will be a topic of this exciting lecture.
