About us

We are experts in software development and cloud hosting – with many years of experience. Our company has been shaping the idea of personal responsibility and cooperation since 1996. Teamwork at eye level and open communication are part of our standards. Among colleagues and with customers.

Experience

The founders and managing directors of EGroupware GmbH are Ralf and Birgit Becker. Their experience with the requirements of many long-standing customers – especially from the technical sector, guarantees you a perfectly customisable software solution.

History

EGroupware was originally developed in 1996 as a solution for a training agency specialising in personnel development measures in companies. The software solution was born out of the need to coordinate the nationwide trainer base and to manage appointments and data. Digitalisation does not stand still and EGroupware also continues to grow. In recent years, we have developed a fully-fledged online office – what has remained are open standards and our claim to digital sovereignty.

Developed in Germany

Our location offers a stable and innovative environment for development with high quality standards and qualified specialists. EGroupware also uses open standards and thus enables the digital sovereignty of our customers. One aspect of this is data protection-compliant data storage, e.g. implemented in the address book via guidelines for data economy. In regular exchange with EGroupware users, we work on a customised software solution that perfectly implements the current German legal situation in terms of data security and labour law.

Two Data Centers in Frankfurt

Data protection laws vary greatly from country to country – a clear argument for us to choose a German hosting provider for the EGroupware Cloud. With the server locations, we ensure that your data is safe and secure. The data of the EGroupware Cloud is stored in two separate data centers, located in Frankfurt. With this redundancy, we minimise failures and achieve that problems are immediately fixed by qualified IT specialists on site.

Experienced support team

Our support team is very familiar with the requirements of the users and knows the specific requirements. Telephone support is provided in German or English, you decide. Our location in the middle of Germany brings us close to many of our customers and makes it possible to offer training on-site at the respective company. When it comes to support, the German location also ensures that your customer data remains protected at all times.

Digital sovereignty through open source

With EGroupware, you control your company data independently, securely and at any time. As a user, you can switch between CE and EPL – without losing any data.
Open standards: EGroupware offers open standards and interfaces. CalDAV/CardDAV/WebDAV, IMAP/SMTP, Import/Export, RESTAPI and OpenID-Connect are available with EGroupware. Connections or sync to LDAP, AD and UCS are also possible.
Free choice of provider: You can switch between running your online office in a self-installation or the cloud.
Resilience through interchangeability of components: EGroupware has a modular structure and can control which applications are to be used via groups.
